- Use a gentle lip moisturizer free from glycerin or petroleum jelly.
- Rinse regularly with a homemade solution of baking soda, salt, and water to soothe irritation.
Maintaining oral hygiene is crucial during chemotherapy. Experts recommend rinsing the mouth with saline before and after meals, replacing toothbrushes within 48 hours of completing treatment, and avoiding toothpaste with harsh abrasives or whitening agents.
